Rev Howard was my pastor at Robertson Creek as I was growing up and helped lead me to Christ during Bible School in July 1969. He was a wonderful pastor and preacher. I know he’s at eternal peace with our Lord and Savior. My best wishes go out to a Barry and Donna. I remember them as small children. Gary Hileman

Pastor Howard was a role model to me. The way he loved his wife and took care of her was an example for me as I was newly married. Always kind and soft spoken. I was blessed to have Pastor Howard as our Pastor at Lakewood Baptist during my childhood. My Grandparents thought highly of him and his wife, Carol. He always greeted you with a smile and friendly word. He prayed over the children and youth throughout my time at the church and I'm thankful to have had him in my life.
Robert was my second cousin and undoubtedly as pure a Christian as one can be. He was a very humble, loving man. I've been in the ministry for 44 years and was blessed to be able to spend some time with him when I too moved to Kannapolis NC to pastor a church. Being a former contractor, he (gently) twisted my arm to build him & Carol a house which I did with pleasure. Although our busy paths did not cross as often as they should, it was always a pleasure to spend time together. He will be missed by his church family, his children, and grandchildren. All who love Jesus Christ will see our late loved ones soon.
