Robert H. Kiser, Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Robert Herman "Bob" Kiser, Sr., 85, of 506 East 23rd Street, Kannapolis, died Monday, November 16, 2009, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Rodgers Park Baptist Church. The Rev. Ralph Robinette and the Rev. Randy Fleming will officiate. Interment with military honors will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of his daughter, Beverly Fulcher, 2204 Nellie Street, Kannapolis.
Born January 28, 1924 in Clover, SC, he was the son of the late James Leroy Kiser and Rosa Mae Bayne Kiser. He was a US Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Kiser retired from the bleachery of Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills. He formerly worked for Cardell-Carter Pontiac Buick in Kannapolis. He was a member of Rodgers Park Baptist Church, where he was the oldest active member. He was also a member of Poston Perkins VFW Post 8989.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Herman "Bobby" Kiser, Jr.; three brothers, John Elliott Kiser, Charles Alexander Kiser, Ralph Neely Kiser; and a sister, Rosa Mae Kiser Brawley.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Kathleen Nichols "Kat" Kiser; a daughter, Beverly Kiser Fulcher and husband Steve of Kannapolis; two grandsons, Jeffrey Todd "Jeff" Kiser and wife Gail, Brian Keith Fulcher and wife Christy; two granddaughters, Lisa Denean Fulcher Scarpitti and husband Louis, Alisha Michelle Kiser Sheets and husband Brian; two great-grandsons, Burke Keith Fulcher and Dallas James Fulcher; three great-granddaughters, Brook Summer Lingle, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Kiser and Anna Sheets; and a step-great-grandson, Anthony Lumsden.
