Robert Dale Starnes' Obituary
Mr. Robert Dale Starnes, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Brad Hargett will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Starnes was born May 6, 1946 in Cabarrus County. He was a son of the late Robert Lee Starnes and Rachel Morgan Starnes. Mr. Starnes was a Veteran of the United States Army, where he worked as a stenographer. He was a member of Multiply Church (formerly Concord First Assembly Worship Center) and the Gideons. He also did work as a minister in nursing homes and jails.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Barnhardt Starnes; and a brother, Gary Starnes.
Mr. Starnes is survived by two sons, David Joshua Starnes and wife Heather of China Grove, and Robert Bryant Starnes of Salisbury; brother, Ric Starnes of Mount Pleasant; and five grandchildren, Mallory Starnes, J.J. Starnes, Michael Starnes, Gabriel Starnes, and Caroline Starnes.
