Robert Daniel Strickland's Obituary
Mr. Robert Daniel "Danny" Strickland, 29, a loving husband, father, son and friend, went to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday, December 17, 2016, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Billy Beaver will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Church Cemetery, 7004 Old Salisbury Concord Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Strickland was born March 14, 1987 in Rowan County, NC. He was the son of James A. Strickland and Alice Williams Strickland. He graduated from South Rowan High School and later attended Rowan Cabarrus Community College. He formerly was assistant manager for Family Dollar. He was a talented musician, and enjoyed music in all ways. In his healthier years, he also played many sports in school, including baseball, basketball, football, wrestling and he was active in weightlifting. After his health declined, he was still adamant for keeping up with his favorite sports on TV.
Mr. Strickland, in addition to his parents, is survived by his wife of five years, Veronica Strickland; daughter, Grayce Strickland; son, Daniel Strickland, all of the home; two sisters, Kellie Luttrell and husband Jeff of Rockwell and Angela Strickland; and a large, loving extended family, especially Sgt. Maj. John Burke and wife, Doris Burke.
