Ronnie Morris Scoggins' Obituary
Mr. Ronnie Morris Scoggins, 56, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, following a year of declining health.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, September 19, 2009, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:45 am Saturday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of his sister, Lynda Sloop, 3030 Phaniels Church Road.
Mr. Scoggins was born May 23, 1953 in Royston, GA. He was a son of the late Eugene Lorenza Scoggins and Ellie Lou Collins Scoggins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service he worked for Brady Distributing in Charlotte before going to work at and retiring from Philip Morris in Concord.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Scoggins.
Mr. Scoggins is survived by two sisters, Madeline S. Ellis Carroll and husband Pat of Abbeville, SC and Lynda S. Sloop of Rockwell; four brothers, Paul Scoggins of Monroe, Charlie Scoggins and wife Linda of Kannapolis, Robert Scoggins of Salisbury and Timothy K. Scoggins and wife Donna of Salisbury; sister-in-law, Colleen Scoggins of Salisbury; and 15 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association, MMA Memorial Processing Center, PO Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058-5216.
