Ruby Lee Irvin Carpenter's Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Lee Irvin Carpenter, 92, passed away Monday, October 22, 2018, at Transitional Health Services in Kannapolis.
A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, October 25, 2018, at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. Jimmy Kidd will officiate.
Mrs. Carpenter was born November 18, 1925 in Commerce, GA. She was a daughter of the late Homer Irvin and Sallie Wood Irvin. Ruby retired from Cannon Mills Plant 1 where she worked in the Weave Room and later the Chain House. She was a member of Grace Covenant Church in Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Carl Vinson Carpenter; a daughter, Patsy Morgan; sister, Bonnie Tadlock; and brother, Harold Irvin.
Mrs. Carpenter is survived by her son, Wesley Carpenter and wife Shelby of China Grove; daughter, Kay Bunton and husband Eddie of Raleigh; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
