Ruby Louneil Jordan's Obituary
Miss Ruby Louneil Jordan, 77, of 513 W. Hoke Street, Landis, died Sunday, September 3, 2006, at NorthEast Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kannapolis. The Rev. Jimmy Barnhill will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born August 15, 1929, in Franklin County, Ga., she was the daughter of the late Harvey Jordan and Verba Chastain Jordan. She was a graduate of Landis High School and Concord Business College. She was formerly employed with Young Ford, and retired several years ago from the Clorox Company in Charlotte. She was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church. An accomplished musician, she served as the pianist for Shopton Road Baptist Church for 40 years. She also was the pianist for the Crusader's Quartet for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dalton Jordan.
Survivors include a sister, Levonda Griffin of Landis; and five brothers, Donald Jordan and wife Shirley, and Ted Jordan, both of Kannapolis, Ned Jordan and wife, Glenda, Vernon Jordan and wife, Michele, both of China Grove, and Terry Jordan of Cooleemee.
