Ruth Barnhardt Taylor's Obituary
Ruth Barnhardt Taylor, 83, of Weddington Road, Concord, died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 29, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jay Smith, pastor and the Rev. Robert Palisin, parish associate will officiate. Interment will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Born January 12, 1925 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Millard K. Barnhardt and Ollie Mae Long Barnhardt. She was a home-care provider and formerly worked for many years at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital, now CMC-NorthEast. Ruth was a member of Poplar Tent Presbyterian Church. She was a US Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Herrin and Edith Wagoner; and two brothers, Toledo Barnhardt and Harry Barnhardt.
Survivors include her son, Daryl R. Cranford of Newnan, Ga.; two sisters, Helen Todd of Charlottesville, VA and Patsy Roach of Concord; and three brothers, Malcolm Barnhardt of Kannapolis, Carl Barnhardt of Concord and Charles Barnhardt of Fancy Gap, VA.
