Sadie Funderburk Wagoner's Obituary
Mrs. Sadie Funderburk Wagoner, a loving mother and grandmother to all, passed away at her residence, 515 Evelyn Avenue, on Friday, January 29, 2010, at the age of 87.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 Noon on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jim Grigg and Rev. Rodney Boone will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11:45 am Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home and will be at the home of her daughter, 807 Grace Avenue at other times.
Mrs. Wagoner was born May 29, 1922 in Rowan County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Funderburk and Daisy Caroline Funderburk. She retired from the Spinning Room of Cannon Mills Plant 4 after 48 years of service. She was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Wagoner.
Mrs. Wagoner is survived by her daughter, Pattie Edmiston and husband Rock of Kannapolis; son, Jerry Wagoner and wife Linda of Salisbury; two grandchildren, Leslie Roscoe and Travis Edmiston, both of Kannapolis; five great grandchildren, Justin Hurst, Victoria Edmiston, Jaclyn Edmiston, Ashleigh Edmiston and Alisha Edmiston.
