Sergio Dali Mendoza Acevedo's Obituary
Mr. Sergio Dali Mendoza Acevedo, 22, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
A funeral service is scheduled for 12:00 pm Monday, March 31, 2025, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Father Blas Caseres C.Ss.R. will officiate. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery in Concord.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm Sunday, March 30 to 11:30 am Monday, March 31 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church Community Center.
Mr. Mendoza Acevedo was born June 26, 2002 in Salisbury, NC. He was a son of Natividad Mendoza and Blanca Acevedo, both of Kannapolis. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and a graduate of AL Brown High School, Class of 2022. Sergio was a very special, family oriented, and compassionate young man. He loved playing soccer and video games.
In addition to his parents, Sergio is survived by his sisters, Maria Rodriguez (Carlos) of Wingate and Chelsea Mendoza of Kannapolis.
