Sharon Gail Rodgers' Obituary
Mrs. Sharon Gail Herring Rodgers, 72, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Brian Center of Concord after a courageous 5 year battle with leukemia.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Jerry Hagler will officiate.
Mrs. Rodgers was born August 2, 1942 in Cabarrus County. She was the daughter of the late Morris Milton Herring and Mary Kathleen Snelling Herring. Sharon was a dedicated member of Memorial Baptist Church in Kannapolis where she served as pianist for 42 years with great pride until her health declined. Sharon taught piano in her home as well as worked as a CNA for several years with Cabarrus County DSS.
She loved angels and the Gaither’s Music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ray Rodgers in 2004.
Survivors include her cousins, Ann Rymer and family of Kannapolis and Polly Fowler of Mt. Pleasant.
