Stephen Hudson Hendrix Sr.'s Obituary
Mr. Stephen Hudson Hendrix, Sr., 69, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at his home in Kannapolis.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, January 28, 2019, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Leon Hawks will officiate. Interment is scheduled for a later date at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:45 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Hendrix was born August 14, 1949 in Statesboro, GA. He was a son of the late Raymond H. Hendrix and Vivian Ruth Hudson Hendrix. Stephen Hendrix, Sr. served in the Navy from 1969-1972 during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information from Saint Leo's University, and he worked in telecommunications and electronics for 40 years before retiring.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Andrew Hendrix.
Mr. Hendrix is survived by his wife, Jean Catherine Hendrix; two sons, Stephen H. Hendrix, Jr. and wife Lindsay of Charleston, SC and Christopher D. Hendrix of Sandy Springs, GA; daughter, Cassandra L. Hendrix of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Alexander Hendrix and Magdalene Hendrix; sister, Donna Hendrix; brother, Timothy "Tim" Hendrix and wife Judy of Lyons, GA; two nieces, Jennifer Kelly and Elizabeth Weekly; and two nephews, Ryan Price and Brittan Kendall.
