Sylvia Eudy Hamby's Obituary
Sylvia Eudy "Nana" Hamby, 61, of 5477 Whiting Avenue, Kannapolis, died Friday, December 15, 2006, at her home, following a courageous 20 year battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Gary Posey will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, December 17, 2006, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the residence.
Born November 13, 1945, in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel B. Eudy and Margaret Bost Eudy. She was a homemaker and a member of Skyland Baptist Church.
Survivors include Roger Hamby of China Grove; two daughters, Kema Jenkins of the home; Kelly Sloop and husband, Mike, of Kannapolis; son, Tracy Mullis and fianc e, Lisa, of Monroe; step-daughter, Annette Jones and husband, Jeff, of Mooresville; sisters, Jean Fortner and husband, Earl, of Harrisburg, Patsy Lee and husband, Willie, of Mt. Pleasant; brother, Daniel "Bud" Eudy and wife, Judy, of Charlotte; and four grandchildren, Lauren Sloop, Logan Sloop, Veronica Jones and Samantha Jones.
The family expresses sincere thanks to NorthEast Oncology and Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, for the excellent care that Sylvia received.
