Thomas Junior Wensil's Obituary
Mr. Thomas "Tom" Junior Wensil, 85, passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, at Five Oaks Manor in Concord.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Mt. Mitchell Church. Pastor Joel Locklear will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mt. Mitchell Church Cemetery in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 pm Thursday at Mt. Mitchell Church.
Mr. Wensil was born November 12, 1938 in Kannapolis. He was a son of the late Clarence and Louise Wensil. Mr. Wensil retired as a foreman with Cannon Mills Co. He was a member of Mt. Mitchell Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. Wensil liked cabinet and furniture making. Tom also loved to work in his garden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Mr. Wensil is survived by his wife, Shirley Elaine Overcash Wensil; daughter, Regina Beamon of Kannapolis; son, Ricky Wensil of Bolivia; sister, Lorene Warren of Rockwell; brother, Hoye (Kay) Wensil of China Grove; two grandchildren, Heather Venrick and Kristina Beamon; and three great grandchildren, Oliver Venrick, Isabella Venrick and Brock Maynard.
