Vicky Culp Deal's Obituary
Affectionately known as "Meme," Vicky Culp Deal passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on September 21, 1938, in Albemarle, North Carolina, she was the cherished daughter of Carl R. Culp and Elva T. Culp.
Vicky spent most of her life in Kannapolis, North Carolina, where she built a beautiful life with her devoted husband, E. Keller Deal. Together, they celebrated 64 years of marriage, creating a legacy of love, family, and faith.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Kelly D. Hackett (married to Chris Hackett) and Beth D. Pike (married to Joe Pike). Vicky was a proud grandmother to Taylor Pike (fiancée Devon Suggs) and Tori Pike, and she adored her special family member, Roxxi.
Vicky went to Albemarle High School and was a proud graduate of Appalachian State University. Vicky was a retired kindergarten teacher from AT Allen, where she touched countless young lives with her kindness, patience, and dedication to education. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion United Church of Christ in China Grove, NC, where her steadfast spirit and service to the community will be deeply missed.
In her free time, Vicky found joy in her bridge club, a pastime that brought her much happiness and camaraderie. Her warmth, humor, and loving nature enriched the lives of all who knew her.
Vicky's life was a testament to love, devotion, and service. She leaves behind a family and community who will forever cherish her memory and the profound impact she made.
The family will have a private memorial service.
