Vinson Ford Arnette's Obituary
Mr. Vinson Ford Arnette, 74, of Angela Lane, passed away Friday, December 30, 2011 at his residence.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, January 2, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Cooper will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6:00 pm Sunday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home of his daughter, Sheila Arnette Wyrick.
Mr. Arnette was born July 26, 1937 in Green Seas, SC. He was the son of the late James Otha Arnette and Jessie Watts Arnette. He worked in residential construction all his life and was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Lucille Lowry; four brothers, Alton Arnette, Joe Arnette, and Essie Arnette and Otha "Junior" Arnette.
Mr. Arnette is survived by his three sons, Vinson Earl Arnette, Eddie Dean Arnette and wife Amy and Shannon Blake Arnette and wife Tammy, all of Kannapolis; daughter, Sheila Arnette Wyrick and husband Brafford of Kannapolis; four sisters, Dolores Dix of Newport News, VA, Eula Mae Edwards, Geraldine Fowler of Murfreesboro, VA, Gracie Watts of Tabor City; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials may be sent to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center's Burn Unit, c/o Administration, 10th Floor Ardmore, Medical Center Blvd., Winston-Salem, NC 27157 or the Cabarrus County Hospice and Palliative Care, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
