Viola James Thomas' Obituary
Mrs. Viola "Bo" Carter James Thomas, 88, of 304 East 22nd Street, Kannapolis, died Friday, December 6, 2002, at Five Oaks Manor.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:30 PM Monday, December 9, 2002, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tony Fox will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 PM Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thomas was born February 16, 1914 in Rowan County to the late George I. Carter and Letha Hopkins Carter. She retired from Cannon Mills in 1979 from the sewing room. She was a member of the Eastern Star and Rodgers Park Baptist Church. She graduated from Kluttz school.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Odell James, in 1968, and her second husband, Ralph Thomas, in 1977.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by six brothers, Claude Carter of Little Falls, NJ, Mayford Carter of Rockwell, L.M. "Pete" Carter of China Grove, Charles Carter of Faith, Hoy and Bill Carter, both of Salisbury; half-brother, Glenn Carter of China Grove; half-sister, Barbara C. Luther of Landis.
