Vivian Joyce Rogers' Obituary
Mrs. Vivian Lowder Rogers, 78, formerly of Marie Avenue, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, at The Laurels of Salisbury.
A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Samuel Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Concord.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rogers was born April 12, 1934 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late Pearl Lee Lowder and Ethel Overcash Lowder. She was a nanny caring for the children of many physicians in the area. She was a lifelong member of Center Grove Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Eugene Rogers; brother, Jack Eugene Lowder; and sister, Sylvia Lee Lowder.
Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter, Sherry R. Hicks of Kannapolis; son, Dennis E. Rogers and wife Salackchith �Mee� of Kannapolis; brother, Robert �Bob� Lowder and wife Carolyn of Concord; granddaughter, Shelly Hicks of Kannapolis; and great granddaughter, Kinsley Hicks of Kannapolis.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lady's Funeral Home, 268 N. Cannon Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083 to help with funeral expenses.
