Watson Eugene Crider's Obituary
Mr. Watson "Sonny" Eugene Crider, 74, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Tucker Hospice House of congestive heart failure.
A funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. His nephew, Steve Cashion, will officiate. The family will receive from 2 to 3:45 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Crider was born on August 19, 1938 in Concord. He was the son of Ruth Krimminger Crider and the late Edward Watson Crider. He was a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Crider retired as the co-owner and operator of Watt & Son Automatic Transmission Shop in Kannapolis. His favorite hobby was fishing.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, David Moore.
Mr. Crider, in addition to his mother, is survived by his wife, Virginia Moose Crider; three daughters, Kaci Sweat and husband Shane Gulledge of Kannapolis, Traci Wease and husband Dustin of Concord and Staci Moore of China Grove; sister, Joyce Wingler of Mooresville; 11 grandchildren, Amber Black, Samantha Scarborough, Austin Brown, Josh Branham, Brittany Sweat, Brandon Sweat, Heather Wease, Hunter Wease, Logan Gulledge, Bailey Gullege and Ayden Lackey; one great grandchild, Kennedi Scarborough.
