William Kenneth Alexander's Obituary
Mr. William Kenneth Alexander, 84, of 824 Klumac Road, Salisbury, and formerly of South Ridge Avenue, Kannapolis, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center in Concord.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2005, at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. The Rev. Richard Rhoades and the Rev. Hoke Ritchie will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church. At other times they will be at their respective homes.
Born November 1, 1920, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of the late Charles D. Alexander and Pearl Robinson Alexander. Mr. Alexander retired several years ago from the Cotton Department of Cannon Mills where he was employed for more than 45 years. He was a lifelong member of Kimball Lutheran Church and a US Army veteran of World War II. He was also a Mason and a Shriner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charlie D. Alexander, and a sister, Mary Alexander Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Nell Hoke Alexander; a daughter, Emily A. Heye and husband, Charles, of Statesville; a brother, James Alexander of Salisbury; two grandchildren, Chad Heye and wife, Denise, of Wilmington and Grant Heye and wife, Crystal, of Statesville; and two great-grandchildren, Madison Heye of Statesville and Gigi Heye of Wilmington.
