William Houston Ballard's Obituary
William “Bill” Houston Ballard, 69, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
A memorial service is scheduled for 5:00 pm Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 4:45 pm prior to the service at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Ballard was born March 1, 1945 in Richmond, VA. He was the son of the late William Houston Ballard and Rosalie Marie Neisz Ballard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the military police. Mr. Ballard retired from Philip Morris where he served as a security manager and later worked as security supervisor at Concord Mills. He formerly worked as a police officer in Richmond, VA. Mr. Ballard was of the Lutheran Faith. He always enjoyed a good game of golf. Bill liked spending time either at the beach or in the mountains. He was a huge Rusty Wallace fan. Mr. Ballard was a member of the Allen-Graham Masonic Lodge #695 A.F. and A.M. and the Kannapolis Moose Lodge #1722.
Mr. Ballard is survived by his wife, Liane Margot Bauer Ballard; daughter, Sandra Marie Trujillo and husband, Diego, of Landis; two sons, Donald L. Ballard of Landis and John J. Ballard, Prince George, VA; sister, Dale Lee Kastleberg of CO; two brothers, Lester Phillip Ballard of Richmond, VA and James Stewart Ballard and wife, Karen, of Pass Christian, MS; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
