Mr. William Dempsey Karriker, 73, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. A funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev Read Obituary
He taught me how to throw a curve ball and hit home runs. One of the best coaches and role models I ever had, at a time when I really needed it. He even bought me a pair of cleets when we couldn't afford them. Rocky and Marty know how much I appreciated him, as I have already shared some of my memories with them. Some of my best childhood memories. I even remember him pulling us behind his car when it snowed one winter. Probably not the safest thing to do, but who the hell cares. Bill always made sure we had fun. One morning, me and a friend missed the school bus and started walking down Monroe Rd to McClintock Jr H.S. We were certainly taking our time for sure, when who happens to pull their car over, but Bill. He made sure we were delivered to school safe and sound. Can't believe I remembered that one.
Life is the greatest gift that God has given us. Death is only a bridge toward eternal life
with God, our creator. Heaven is rejoicing as God's child has finally reached his True Home. Life's journey brings us love, tears and cherished memories. Those we love never go away. They walk beside us everyday;;;;;;Unseen, Unheard, but always
near in our hearts.....Still loved, Still Missed and Very Dear.
