William Floyd Lipe's Obituary
Mr. William Floyd Lipe, 93, of Perry Road, Troutman, NC, died Sunday, February 15, 2004, at Big Elm Nursing Center in Kannapolis, following two weeks of serious illness.
A graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2004, at St. Michael's Cemetery in Troutman. Rev. Mark White will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 11 to 12:00 noon Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Lipe was born March 22, 1910 in Troutman, NC. He was a son of the late John Alexander Lipe and Nancy Lou Overcash Lipe. He was retired from Cannon Mills in Kannapolis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eulia Sherrill Lipe, in 1991, two brothers, Otto Lipe and Marvin Lipe, and a sister, Pearl Lipe McCormac.
Mr. Lipe is survived by five sisters, Grace Gregory, Nell Tedder, and Pauline Westmoreland, all of Kannpolis, Mary Lou Johnson of Mooresville, NC, and Faye Cook of Concord; and two brothers, Homer Lipe of Kannapolis and Ray Lipe of Morganton, NC.
