William Thomas Morgan's Obituary
Mr. William Thomas Morgan, 70, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013, at Carolinas Medical Center-NorthEast.
A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, November 29, 2013, at Lady’s Funeral Home Chapel. KPD Chaplain Mike Roper will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15 pm Friday prior to the service at Lady’s Funeral Home.
Mr. Morgan was born on January 27, 1943 in Palacios, TX. He was a son of the late Paulie Morgan and Zadie Weary Morgan. A veteran of the US Air Force, Mr. Morgan retired as a Sergeant from the Kannapolis Police Department after twenty-four years of service. He was currently a truck driver for A. C. Widenhouse. Mr. Morgan enjoyed spending time with his grandson, riding his Harley and his many trips with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Edward Morgan.
Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife, Barbara Daniel Morgan; son, Rusty Morgan and wife Jenny of Kannapolis; brother, Harry Leon Morgan and wife Bobbie of Rockwell; and grandson, Matt Morgan.
