William Ernest Taylor's Obituary
William “Bill” Ernest Taylor, 94, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2015, at his home in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, February 9, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Lewis Whittington will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 pm Monday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor was born August 17, 1920 in Gold Hill. He was the son of the late Ernest McKee Taylor and Annie Victoria Carter Taylor. He worked as a bulldozer and back hoe operator. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Enochville and a charter member of the Flat Woods Hunting Club in Gold Hill.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Taylor Earnhardt and Inez Ridenhour.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Adelaide Taylor; son, Wayne Taylor and wife, Johnsie, of Salisbury; two daughters, Wanda McDonald and husband, Robert, of Concord and Becky Sutherland and husband, Bobby, of Kannapolis; brother, John Taylor of Rockwell; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
