Willie Black Beaver's Obituary
Mr. Willie Black Beaver, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, September 25, 2015, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Richie Honeycutt will officiate. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm Friday at Lady's Funeral Home.
Mr. Beaver was born August 13, 1926 in Rowan County, NC. He was the son of the late Will Alexander Beaver and Mary Patterson Beaver. He retired as a first sergeant of the U.S. Army National Guard, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Navy, having served in World War II. He was a member of Eureka Masonic Lodge No. 283 AF&AM in China Grove. Mr. Beaver was an avid hunter, golfer, farmer, fisherman, and an A-1 Mechanic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Faynell Beaver; and his daughter, Cheryl “Suzie” Dayvault.
Mr. Beaver is survived by two sons, Kenneth Beaver, and wife, Angela, of Kannapolis, and Willie “Skeet” Beaver of China Grove; one granddaughter, Wendy Johnson, and husband, James; one grandson, Nick Beaver; and two great-grandchildren, Kamden and Avery Johnson.
