Wilma Sides Brigman's Obituary
Mrs. Wilma Sides Brigman, 77, of 114 Brookshire Avenue, Kannapolis, died Friday, December 6, 2002, at NorthEast Medical Center after a number of years of declining health.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2002, at North Kannapolis United Methodist Church. Rev. Susan German will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9:00 PM Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
Mrs. Brigman was born February 13, 1925 in Kannapolis, NC. She was a daughter of the late Herman Wesley Sides and Esther Rimmer Sides. She retired from the Accounts Payable Department of Cannon Mills. She was an active member of North Kannapolis United Methodist Church. In addition her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Wrenn Brigman.
Mrs. Brigman is survived by her husband, Ralph Brigman; two daughters, Danita B. Rickard and her husband, Hearne F. Rickard, of Kannapolis and Julie Brigman of the home; one brother, Herman Reid Sides and his wife, Betty Sides, of Kannapolis; three sisters, Helen S. Kiser and her husband, W.T. Kiser, of Greenville, Lavay S. Jordan and Zelia S. Pope, both of Kannapolis; sister-in-law, Mrs. John Rufty and her husband, Rev. John Rufty, of Franklinville, NC; three grandchildren, Amy Rickard Lewis and her husband, McKenzie Lewis, of Chapel Hill, NC, Alex Rickard of Columbia, SC, and Daniel Flora of the home; and special friend and caregiver, Mrs. Ida Henderson of Kannapolis.
