Wilma Winecoff Michael's Obituary
Mrs. Wilma Winecoff Michael, 91, of 1304 McLees Road, Anderson, and formerly of Kannapolis, NC, died Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Anderson Area Medical Center.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Carolina Memorial Park. Dr. David Bailey will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Lady's Funeral Home.
Born November 6, 1916 in Rowan County, Mrs. Michael was the daughter of the late Gip Henderson Winecoff and Vera Goodnight Winecoff. She retired as a medical technologist from Lowrance Hospital, now Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, Mooresville. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Anderson, and had been a longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold K. Michael, Sr., who died July 21, 1969; a sister, Mary Lee Wilson; and two brothers, Gip Winecoff, Jr. and Edgar Winecoff.
Survivors include two sons, Eric H. Michael and wife, Robin, of Anderson, Harold K. Michael, Jr. and wife, Loretta, of Chesapeake, VA; a sister, Johnsie Nelms of Kannapolis; two granddaughters, Erin Michael Thomas and husband Trey, and Lesley Anne Michael, all of Anderson; and two great-grandchildren, Colson Michael Thomas and Kylie Anne Wilson.
