Zella Mae Lunsford's Obituary
Zella Mae Foster Lunsford, 80, of Avante at Concord, formerly of 1106 Robinhood Lane, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at Avante.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, at Midway United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Dave Cash.
The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
She was born on June 12, 1927, in Wilkes County, the daughter of the late Eugene Foster and Earie Huffman Foster Griffin. She retired 10 years ago from K-Mart in Concord and formerly worked in the accounts payable department at Fieldcrest-Cannon Mills in Kannapolis. Mrs. Lunsford was a member of Midway United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, Wilborne Towns Lunsford, who died August 1, 1977.
She is survived by three daughters: Tamara Reavis and husband, Gary, of Kannapolis, Gisele Rankin and husband, Lawson, of Raleigh, and Kimberly Fortson of Kannapolis; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn Stegall of Landis, Mary Lee Rhinehardt of Casselbury, Florida, and Edyth Cosgrove of Pontiac, SC; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Avante at Concord for their love and care.
