Charlie Stevenson Waller Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Charlie Stevenson Waller, Jr., 73, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017, at his residence in Salisbury.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Rowan Memorial Park Chapel. Rev. Ron Karriker will officiate. Interment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park in Salisbury.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Wednesday at Lady's Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Providence United Methodist Church in Statesville.
Mr. Waller was born January 29, 1944 in Rowan County. He was a son of the late Charles Waller and Martha Trexler Waller. He worked for Hoechst Celanese, formerly known as Fiber. He loved fishing, golf, boating, wood working and metal fabrication.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy Simmons Waller; and brother, Earl Waller.
Mr. Waller is survived by fiancée, Barbara Shoemaker; first wife and mother of his children, Patsy Cook Waller of Granite Quarry; daughter, Lisa Waller Clay and husband Gary; two sons, Alan Ray Waller and wife Marie and Charlie S. Waller, III, all of Salisbury; two grandsons, Christopher Waller and Tyler Waller; one great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Waller; sister, Betty Ward and husband Ronnie of East Spencer; three nieces; and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Providence United Methodist Church, 1273 Old Mocksville Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
