Clyde "Junior" Butler Adams Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Clyde Butler "Junior" Adams, Jr., 81, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at his home in Mooresville.
A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. George Morris will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 pm to 1:45 pm Saturday at Friendship Freewill Baptist Church.
Mr. Adams was born October 25, 1942 in China Grove. He was a son of the late Clyde Butler Adams, Sr. and Katherine Upright Adams. He was a fixer at Kosa Mills and previously worked as a store manager. He was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church. He was an avid reader, especially western books. Junior loved his grandchildren and enjoyed helping others when needed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Smith and Carolyn Morrow; and two brothers, Frank Eli Adams and Hubert Ray Adams.
Junior is survived by his wife Linda Crook Adams; son, Clyde Butler "Buddy" Adams, III and wife Kristi of Salisbury; daughter, Jackie Lynn Adams-Deal and husband Wesley of Landis; two sisters, Jeanette McDonald and Joanne Haynes both of China Grove; four brothers, Donald Adams and wife Elaine of Virginia, Larry "Freck" Adams and wife Betty of Mooresville, Paul Thomas Adams and wife Nina of Enochville and Billy Adams of China Grove; seven grandchildren, Britney, McKayla, Ashton, Katelyn, Erica, Lindsay "Lulu" and Ajah; and four great grandchildren, Aniyah, Maverick, Ava and Brynna.
