Dora Hancock Epperson's Obituary
Mrs. Dora Frances Hancock Epperson, 83, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, went to be with her heavenly father on Friday, April 20, 2007.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2007, at West Point Baptist Church. The Rev. Blair Bridle will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times, they will be at the home of a daughter, Donna Baker.
Born December 19, 1923, in Mt. Croghan, SC, she was the daughter of the late Norman Henry Hancock and Cora Jordan Hancock. She retired in 1983 from Terry Products, following more than 25 years of service. She was a member of West Point Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years in the nursery department. A dedicated Christian, she devoted her life to loving her family and serving her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don C. Epperson, who died May 3, 1995.
Survivors include two daughters, Janis E. Tucker and husband, Robert L. Tucker of Kannapolis and Donna E. Baker and husband, Jimmy R. Baker, Jr. of China Grove; four grandchildren, Allen Baker, Jennifer Petty, Brandon Farabee and Chance Tucker; and two great-grandchildren, Allie Baker and Jenna Petty.
The family expresses heartfelt thanks to Dr. Christopher Dunatov and Dr. Tess Richards, along with the nurses and staff on ICCU at NorthEast Medical Center, for the excellent care given to their loved one.
