Phyllis and Coite. I am sorry to hear about your dad. I will always remember th Boy Scout camping trips that we had in his little cabin down the street from his home in China Grove. And who could forget all the many trips our Sunday School Class had to the fish camp. I think it was "His" favorite place to go. My thoughts and prayers are with you but we all know he is in a better place.
Coite and Phyllis, I am deeply sorry to read of the death of your father. May your many warm and beautiful memories of Mr. Jenkins bring you solace. As you struggle through this difficult time you are gaining strength and wisdom that will help moving through this time of sadness. May you experience the peace, loving care and comfort that emanates from our Heavenly Father.
My family would like to express our deepest sympathy to the Glen Jenkins family for their loss. For the last several years I would pick up Mr. Glen and take him to Kannapolis Boy Scout Round Table meetings held the first Monday evenings of the month at Camp Cabarrus. Mr. Jenkins would always call my home on Friday and leave a message that he would be ready to go Monday evening for scout meting. Mr. Jenkins always had stories to tell and lessons learned from a long life. He received the District Award of Merit and the Silver Beaver Award. In January of this year at Camp Cabarrus he received his Sixty-five Year Veteran Award for his involvement in Scouting. Mr. Jenkins was proud of Scouting but was very proud of his family and his reverence to God. He would quote scriptures from the bible in our conversations and visits. Mr. Jenkins always had his bible open in his room where he would be reading or wanting to point out a verse or two to someone that was visiting. Glen Jenkins received his most precious award on Tuesday, May 19 2015. That was the Award to Heaven.
With Sympathy and Love,
The Brad Steen Family

I would see Gleen celebrating another birthday in the paper. I would tell the wife i need to go see Gleen. I waited to long. I know you will miss him. Mine died in 1967 right after i got in Japan. Coite do you still have the Demon? Dose Phyllis still have the blue 1962 galaxie? Again Sorry about your Loss. Jimmy L Stirewalt
