My prayers are with you at this difficult time. Harry was special to our family. At one time Harry was with my sister when she became ill, his first response was to get her the emergency room. With his quick thinking and God's grace she is still with us today. Harry still kept in touch with my parents after all these years.
I will always remember Harry for this and know we will again see Harry in that beautiful city - Heaven -

My heart goes out to Evie Lee, Marleen, Richard and all of Harry's family & friends. I was five years younger than Harry, but when the family would visit the old home place down at Mt. Croghan back in the fifties, Harry would sometimes come down and help me build roads out in the dirt with our toy trucks. It's hard to believe that was fifty years ago, but I still have fond memories. I also recall the trip we all made to Myrtle Beach and on to Chattanooga, all on the same vacation trip (See Rock City). I guess that was 1967.

I know that Harry touched a lot of lives over the years. One life that he touched was mine and I regret that I never took the time to thank him.
I was in Boy Scout Troop 107 at Mt. Mitchell Church back in the early 60's. Harry was one of our leaders along with his brother, Richard, and his best friend Sonny Overcash. One event that sticks in my mind is the time Harry & Sonny were swimming next to me (making sure I didn't drown) as I was trying to swim 50 yards to complete the requirements to advance to first class. I was struggling, but Harry would not let me give up, telling me "you can do it". I did.
I have not seen Harry in many years but I still thought of him often. Harry, I will miss you. Thank you for the positive influence you had on my life.
May God comfort the family and give them strength during this difficult time.
