Harry Edwin Jenkins' Obituary
Mr. Harry Edwin Jenkins, 60, of 6084 Turkey Road, Kannapolis, died Monday, December 3, 2007, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Jim Grigg will officiate. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from noon to 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home.
Born February 13, 1947 in Chesterfield County, SC, he was the son of Evie Lee Horne Jenkins and the late John Grover Jenkins. He retired from Duke Power, where he was a welder and valve mechanic. He was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Harry was known to many as an avid hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Marleen Hoyle Jenkins of the home; mother, Evie Lee Horne Jenkins of Kannapolis; brother, Richard Jenkins and wife, Karen, of Kannapolis; nephews, Darren Jenkins and wife, Jennifer, of China Grove and Matthew Jenkins and wife, Kristen, of Kannapolis; mother-in-law, Mabeline Hoyle of Lincolnton; and two brothers-in-law, Donnie Hoyle and Rickie Hoyle, both of Lincolnton.
