John Edwin Dial's Obituary
Mr. John Edwin Dial, 83, 2414 Moose Road died Thursday, January 13, 2005, at NorthEast Medical Center.
The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2005, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Todd Posey and the Rev. Ralph Adams will officiate. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Saturday, at Lady's Funeral Home. At other times they will make headquarters at the home, 2414 Moose Road Kannapolis.
Mr. Dial was born March 8, 1921, in Morgan County, Ga. the son of the late Herschel Stevenson Dial and Georgia Cochran Dial. He was retired from the W.G. "Bill" Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury where he worked as a nursing assistant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in World War II. He was a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kannapolis.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Dial and three brothers, George Dial, I.H. Dial and Guy T. Dial.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Rich Dial; daughter, Daryle Dial Phillips of Kannapolis; sons, Thomas "Tommy" Edwin Dial of Midland, Charles Jarris Dial of Gold Hill, and Michael "Mike" Harris Dial of China Grove; sister, Kate Moore of Camden, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
