Nell Alexander's Obituary
Mrs. Nell Hoke Alexander, 92, of Salisbury, formerly of South Ridge Avenue, Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2013, at Lady's Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Gene Bruce will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 12:45 pm Friday.
Mrs. Alexander was born May 20, 1921 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of the late John Ralph Hoke, Sr. and Ellen Swicegood Hoke. Mrs. Alexander was a homemaker. She was a former member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church in Kannapolis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Alexander; brother, Harold Hoke; and sister, Edith Hoke Haynes.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by her daughter, Emily A. Heye and husband Charles of Johns Island, SC; brother, Ralph Hoke and wife Bobbi of York, SC; two grandchildren, Chad Heye and wife Denise of Wilmington and Grant Heye and wife Crystal of Statesville; two great-grandchildren, Madison Heye and Gigi Heye.
